A 26-year-old from Katy, Texas, Tamyra Mensah-Stock brings life to wrestling both on and off the mat. Off the mat, Tamyra encourages and inspires others with her beaming personality. But, on the mat, Tamyra is no fun and games. Tamyra began wrestling at the age of 16. She won her first competitive match and has been excelling ever since. Mensah-Stock was a four-time All-American at Wayland Baptist University, where she was a two-time National Champion. She won the 2016 U.S. Open, which afforded her the No. 1 qualifying spot at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. She went on to compete in her first World Championships in 2017, finishing 1-1 and in ninth place. The next year, in 2018, she was a Final X Champion, U.S. Open Champion and won a World Bronze Medal. In 2019 Mensah-Stock was a Pan American Games Champion, Final X Champion, Pan American Championships Champion, Dan Kolov International Champion (Bulgaria), Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix Champion (Russia) and a 2019 World Champion (Kazakstan).
